Policies and Procedures: Auditions

Purpose

The policy sets the minimum expectation for communicating with those who audition for our shows.

Policies

  1. All auditioners will be notified of the results of their audition, whether they were cast or not. (Board directive on April 18, 1990).
  2. The Production Manager and/or his/her designee are responsible to see that a cast list is posted in the theater and on the web as soon as possible following auditions. (Board directive on April 18, 1990).
  3. The Director and/or his/her designee should call auditioners within a reasonable, promised amount of time. In cases where additional time is needed to reach final casting decisions, auditioners should be called and informed of the delay. The Director and/or his/her designee should also provide a new timeframe for resolution.
  4. It is preferred that auditioners be contacted by phone. However, in some cases, the Director and/or his/her designee may utilize email to contact auditioners that have not been cast if stated on the audition form.
