Call for Special Event Proposals/Directors

Deciding what Special Events to produce for a season is a joint venture between the Special Events Coordinator and the Board of Directors. Williamsburg Players values the input of our patrons, local directors, and talent. If you would like to direct and/or propose a special event at Williamsburg Players, please let us know by filling out the Special Events Proposal Submission form.

We accept submissions all year. If you want to be considered for the upcoming season (2017-2018), please submit by May 31, 2017. The lobby (seats 80) can easily be used for an event. If main stage is your desire, then set must be basically a black background with minimal lighting and few set pieces. It is preferred that you utilize all three dates for your event, if possible. Rehearsals in the performance space will be limited to one or two rehearsals during the week of the show.

The three weekend dates already planned and available in the calendar for 2017-2018 Special Events include: November 24, 25 (8 pm), 26 (2pm); February 23, 24 (8 pm), 25 (2 pm); and April 27, 28, (8 pm), 29 (2 pm).

If you are a director interested in submitting a Special Event Proposal for the upcoming season, please complete the Special Events Proposal Submission form. Submissions for this season are due by May 31, 2017. Submissions for later seasons will be considered on an ongoing basis.
