Williamsburg Players
Annual Membership Meeting Minutes

August 6, 2006, 3 PM

Board Members Present were Rick Hinson, Andrea Daughtry, Peggy Baker, Diane Floros, Karen Foley and Bob Noonan. Bob Shea was an approved absence.

Rick Hinson proferred to dispense with reading last years Minutes and that they instead could be published on the Players website for perusal by the general population.

Ann McCulley made a motion to approve and it was seconded by Carol Moff. The Motion passed with unanimous approval.

President Rick Hinson visited with Members and acknowledged the continued Mission & Vision of the Williamsburg Players by its quality production of shows and quality stage art.

Special Recognition was given to A Chrous Line for highest volunteer involvement and ticket sales in the 50 year history of the Players and to Shirley Valentine for audience response and complex scene changes.

Finance: Diane Floros reported that an independent audit was in third party review.

The Minutes and Financial Reports from the previous year were made available to those at the Meeting.

Karen Foley recognized success of the Appreciation Dinner and sponsor donors.

Maintenance: The Board announced a concerted "extreme makeover" project for the existing building which included repainting with a new color scheme, rearranging the box office for efficiency, refurbishing the floors and replacing exterior signage.

Andrea Daughtry recognized Bob Noonan and Bob Shea for implementing new Policy & Procedure into the ByLaws pursuant to the Meeting held August 05. These are available on the website for persual by the general public.

Scholarship: Les Waldron presented the 06 Scholarship Winner Sara Haley Garner a freshman Performing Arts major at UNC Greensboro.

Andrea Daughtry announced a grant received by Williamsburg Community Trust of $450.00 to be used for the Players Readers program.

Box Office: Debbie Noonan announced that approximately $1,900.00 in Season Subscription sales had already been made for this Season.

Board Nominations: Andrea Daughtry and Rick Hinson asked if there were floor nominations to be made. Al Schumann made a motion that floor nominations be closed. This Motion was seconded by Ann McCauley.

Rick Hinson made a motion for reappointment of Karen Foley and Bob Shea for another term. Seconded by Debbie Noonan. This reappointment was approved with unanimous consent.

There being no further business this Annual Meeting was adjourned.
